In the Northern Territory Alzheimer's Australia works closely with the Aged Care Assessment Team, DBMAS and NTCarers as well as other organisations to help provide care for those that have Dementia, their carers and families.


Dementia Behaviour Management Advisory Service (DBMAS)

The role of DBMAS is to improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their carers where the behaviour of the person with dementia impacts on their care.

The Dementia Behaviour Management Advisory Service (DBMAS) is a national free service funded by the Australian Government, operated and administered by Dementia Support Australia (DSA).

Australian Association of Gerontology

The Australian Association of Gerontology (AAG) is Australia’s largest multidisciplinary professional association of people who work in, or have an interest in ageing.

It is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation with a mission to expand knowledge of ageing with the purpose of improving the experience of ageing.

The NT branch of the AAG was established in 2011 having formerly existed as a joint branch with South Australia.
